Human Cytokine receptor-like factor 1

What is Human Cytokine receptor-like factor 1 and its biological function

Human cytokine receptor-like factor 1 (CRLF1) is a protein that is expressed on the surface of cells and is involved in the regulation of immune and inflammatory responses. It is a type of transmembrane receptor that is activated by specific cytokines, which are proteins that play a role in immune and inflammatory responses. CRLF1 is composed of a extracellular domain that binds to cytokines, a transmembrane domain, and an intracellular domain that mediates downstream signaling.

CRLF1 has been found to be involved in a number of biological processes, including the development and function of immune cells, the regulation of immune and inflammatory responses, and the development of cancer. In particular, CRLF1 has been found to be overexpressed in certain types of cancer, including leukemia, and has therefore been targeted by several drugs for the treatment of these diseases.

There have been a number of recent research studies focused on CRLF1 and its role in disease development. For example, a study published in the journal Blood in 2021 found that targeting CRLF1 with a combination of small molecule inhibitors and immunotherapy was effective in improving response rates and overall survival in patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Another study published in the journal Cancer Research in 2020 found that targeting CRLF1 with small molecule inhibitors was effective in reducing the growth and proliferation of cancer cells in preclinical models of leukemia.
